Dortmund, 29. July 2013. tde – trans data elektronik GmbH, leading manufacturer of scalable cabling systems and pioneer in the field of fiber optic multi-fiber technology, introduces its own LC SC connectors on the market. The high performance tde fiber optical connectors feature low tolerance premium ferrules therewith offering patch cords with an above average connector performance. This is essential especially for future high speed applications and their particularly low attenuation budgets. Because of the casing designed as one piece and its increased crush resistance the LC connectors are also sturdier than traditional connectors and guarantee secure connections.

With the new fiber-optical connector program tde – trans data elektronik GmbH presents its own LC and SC connectors for the first time, which are specially produced according to tde specifications. The network expert hereby relies on an innovative connector design, which is construed for the highest transfer rates thanks to its good performance.

The new LC connectors have a one-piece connector housing. The sturdy design prevents lateral damage and guarantees secure connections. The crimp barrels‘ special two-part design improves the tensile strength, also for smaller cable diameters, while protecting from micro-bending. „It is absolutely impossible to stress the fibers by crimping when using the LC connectors“, says André Engel, CEO of tde-trans data elektronik from Dortmund. In addition, tde“s LC connectors are equipped with contactless captive dust caps. Thus, the end surfaces are perfectly protected from dirt and damage.

To ensure the best performance of the connector tde’s fiber-optical connectors feature low tolerance premium ferrules thereby minimizing the insertion and return loss. In addition, the very short cable boots with integrated limiter for the bending radius enable a high packing density with low installation depth for the connectors.

Highest quality in optical transmission

„With our new fiber-optical connector program we meet the highest demands for all transmission-related parameters: From stable mechanical design with easy handling to the point of minimal insertion and return loss. Thus, tde offers top-quality for optical transmission“, André Engel explains. This applies to the LC connector as well as the SC connector. Even the tde“s SC connectors are equipped with particularly short cable boots and an integrated limiter for the bending radius.

Both the LC connector and the SC connector are tde labeled and support all common cables with a diameter of 0.9 to 3.0 millimeters. „Our latest generation of the tde labeled fiber-optical connectors stands for quality. This is particularly important for fiber-optical connectors, since minimal tolerance deviations can have an impact on the performance“, says tde“s CEO André Engel.
