Gefen´s EXT-HD-VWC-144 is a cost-effective and robust solution for feeding a HD source with content to display a 2×2 high-res video wall through HDMI (HDCP protected). The HDMI outputs are freely scalable to accommodate various types of playback devices feeding content.

Finally a high-quality, easy-to-use and cost efficient video processor to divide a high-resolution image via HDMI to the four screens. This particular solution is ideal for presenting HD content at a high quality being fed from HD source content provider devices, such as the Gefen: EXT-HD-DSMP, suitable for Digital Signage applications within the following: entertainment, corporate, commercial and of course for industrial applications such as visualizations in control rooms – therefore the Gefen VWC is the ideal solution.
The HDMI inputs identifies a HD signal with a resolution up to 1920x 1200 (WUXGA) and 1080P with 12-bit Deep Color. On the output side an image can be scaled up to WUXGA.
The Gefen unit of course is fully HDCP compliant, thus protected content from Blu-Ray players can be displayed.
An essential feature that should be highlighted for proper representation of the HD video being displayed on the screen is the so-called web compensation. This is usually depending on the type of display used in the setup. If the frame around the HDTV has a thick bar between the active image areas on the screen, the thick frame will need to be counted out so the „window frame“ does not interfere and allows the video content to run smoothly. The Video Wall Controller (VWC) allows a pixel-perfect setting for this to be adjusted and compensated (length & width).
Additionally Gefen attributes by reinforcing our high quality standards by offering the capability of independently adjusting each output in terms of video quality; brightness, contrast, color, saturation and color temperature as each monitor performs differently, thus it can be adjusted accordingly.
Furthermore, the EXT-HD-VWC-144 is completed with: professional EDID Management (internal & external), option of audio muting and not forgetting the standard built in web browser for configuring and operational activity, thus accommodating all functions in a compact form factor 19″ for your usage.
