Unified Messaging Server ixi-UMS 6.70 Enterprise now available

The Starnberg software manufacturer estos releases the new version of the unified messaging server ixi-UMS 6.70 Enterprise: A connector for messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange or IBM Domino, a voice mailbox for answering machines and mobile access – these are the key innovations. „The individual components are now clearer for resellers and customers,“ explains Bernd Kattner, Product Manager at estos. „Users no longer have to decide, for example, whether they only want to use an answering machine or setup via a homepage.“ ixi-UMS Enterprise is a modular unified messaging software for large companies and corporations over multiple locations. It supplements messaging systems with functions for fax, voice, SMS and mobile access to all messages.
ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector
One connector for everything: From now on ixi-UMS integrates into SMTP-based messaging systems via the Mail Server Connector. The new connector combines the ixi-UMS Exchange Connector, the ixi-UMS Domino Connector and the ixi-UMS SMTP Connector. Depending on requirements, it is available as single or multi-instance versions: The ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector multi-instance is required if a company uses several – identical or different – messaging systems. Reasons for this could be, for example, decentralized locations, reliability or high availability.
ixi-UMS Voice Mailbox
estos has combined the positions ixi-UMS Voice and ixi-UMS Mobile. The ixi-UMS voice mailbox provides users with all the same functions of the two previous features: An answering machine with individual greetings, delivery of messages to the usual e-mail inbox, monitoring by telephone or smartphone, browser-based configuration of the voice mailbox, various profiles such as office or outside of business hours, and access to all messages on the move by PC, telephone, tablet or smartphone.
Availability and further information
ixi-UMS 6.70 Enterprise is now available through qualified resellers and trained system integrators. For companies with a software maintenance contract (SWW), the update to ixi-UMS 6.70 Enterprise is free of charge. An in-place update to Release 6.70 is possible with ixi-UMS Enterprise Version 6.30 and higher.
